Nature’s Design:
Structure and Function in the Animal Kingdom
Standard: LS1.A Structure and Function
What they learn
Students explore how animal structures like wings, legs, eyes, tails, beaks, and scales are specifically adapted to help organisms move, feed, protect themselves, or interact with their environment. They build scientific understanding by connecting form and function, using real-life animal examples aligned with NGSS LS1.A.
How they live it
Through immersive virtual reality, students observe animals up close and in motion, in their real ecosystems. They don’t just learn about adaptations they see tails moving, beaks pecking, wings fluttering, and body parts in action, creating strong cognitive and emotional connections.
Ecosystems seen: Insects, birds, fish in their natural habitats (tropical & aquatic environments).
